Recent Project
Full software development cycle using the 'waterfall process' to develop new real-time applications and features for a major client in the defence industry.
Key responsibilities included requirements capture, work estimation and leading a small team of software engineers through the development process through to deployment.
Safety and security being of critical importance.
Rhapsody UML modelling tools were used during architecture design to perform requirements analysis, formulate use cases and create high-level message sequencing charts.
Hosting many reviews and meetings to inform and gain approval from various actors was integral to the architecture process.
Software implementation involved overseeing and participating in the development process to ensure that the architecture was correctly reflected in the low-level UML design through to and coding, off-target module test and integration on the hardware rigs.
Past Projects
Over the years, POSNETICS has participated in a vast number of projects.
In addition to our own private venture to develop car park management and access control systems,
projects have ranged from LTE telecommunications through to numerous defence and aerospace applications.
More recently roles include working as part of a close-knit team developing embedded software for LTE Remote Radio Heads; developing a front-end user interface for a radio production test platform; and also technical lead in a project to develop a fully automated regression test framework needed to support Agile Continuous Integration.
